此曲老合唱的Don Henley ( 鼓手 )、Glenn Frey ( 主唱兼吉他手 ) 以及和J. D. Souther共同所作，J. D. Souther非Eagles的成，但三人常在一起作歌曲，像是Eagles的《Heartache Tonight》、《New Kid in Town》等，三人如死般的交情，要Eagles成立前起。
1968，19的Glenn Frey在底特律和女子The Mama Cats ( 後改名Honey Ltd. ) 的Joan Sliwin交往，之後前往加州展，Frey了能和女友保持，後也去到了洛杉。，女友Joan Sliwin的妹妹Alex Sliwin ( 也是HoneyLTD.的 ) 正在和J. D. Souther交往 ( 後在1969嫁了Souther，但在1972婚。)，因此介了SoutherFrey。看人十分投，不久共了二重唱Longbranch Pennywhistle，入了Amos唱片公司旗下。而FreyDon Henley，是因Henley也是Amos公司的成，因常同在西好的Troubadour夜演唱，也算是曾在一起渡不少光。

1971，美流行女歌手Linda Ronstadt要巡演唱，由於Glenn Frey空心吉他及合音，被召募伴唱的成。Don Henley因Frey的，也成了伴唱的鼓手，在巡期Frey同房的室友。另，Randy Meisner和Bernie Leadon也受於此伴唱，由於手常去更，其四人只有在Disneyland的演唱同，而Frey和Henley定邀此人共，也是Eagles成的由。

至於J. D. Souther何未加入Eagles？原因之一可能是在和Frey搭，於作音的格有些理念不合。而，Souther和Linda Ronstadt已始有了感情，Souther於1972婚，後和Linda Ronstadt同居在一起，至1974人分手。以推，在的氛下，Souther只要注替已具名的女友Ronstadt歌，即可易搏取名利，怎有功夫加前景未卜的？另，然他是想朝向人歌手展。
此首《Best of My Love》Eagles第3《On the Border》中的歌曲，曲於1975上了排行榜的No. 1，也是Eagles的第一首冠曲，意非凡。
2000年起，Glenn Frey性炎所苦，後物控制，但又引了炎及肺炎。2016年1月，Glenn Frey病逝於—老院。少了Glenn Frey，Eagles的原音重，也自此成了。
