此曲有「村音第一夫人 ( First Lady of Country Music ) 」的Tammy Wynette由其1976的同名中所出的曲，在告示牌村榜勇第1名，也是Wynette人第15首的冠曲。

1966，24的Tammy Wynette自著3孩子搬到了「村音之都 – 田西州的那 (Nashville)」，的是想找唱片公司，一自己成村歌星的。但在家唱片公司的唱後均被「打」，之後到了Epic唱片公司，作人Billy Sherrill原本也只是想付付她，但了Wynette唱那首《Apartment No. 9》後，Sherrill定和Wynette。由此始，Wynette之後在村音界大放彩，Sherrill然是Wynette的「伯」和「人」。而此首《'Til I Can Make It on My Own》也是由Wynette和Sherrill及另位George Richey三人共同作完成。
