The Staple Singers是家庭合唱，成立於1948年，早期在教堂唱魂福音歌曲，直到1952才和唱片公司正式成合唱。之後了好家公司，而歌唱事仍未有所起色。1968，入了Stax唱片公司，行了，售情依。此，Stax的副裁Al Bell定自己跳出任下一《Be Altitude: Respect Yourself》的作人，此首《I'll Take You There》即包含在此之中。

其，首《I'll Take You There》就是Al Bell所作。Al Bell，是在加了他遭身亡的弟弟的葬之後，在父家的後院，中就不浮歌曲的旋律和歌，但此曲旋律其是由牙加一首演奏曲《The Liquidator》而。由於Al Bell常往返牙加，也得了引用曲的版。此首《I'll Take You There》於1972行後，上了告示牌榜的榜首，也是The Staple Singers的首支冠曲。

此曲的成功，除了主唱Mavis Staples的表亮眼，另外要功於幕後的音「Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section」，包含歌曲中的吉他、士、鼓及其他器等，均手所，爸爸Pops Staples也只能背著吉他作作子。

歌曲的「I'll Take You There」，There指的是哪呢？只有是「天堂」吧！
