首《Get Ready》是一位叫Smokey Robinson的所，而位老兄又何人也？他之前是摩城 ( Motown ) 唱片公司旗下的合唱The Miracles的一，看他歌有下子，先前和人合的一首《My Girl》，同公司的The Temptations ( 惑合唱 ) 行，在1965一得了排行榜的冠。次的首《Get Ready》依然交由The Temptations。但老有言在先，若是未能打排行榜前20名，之後推出的歌曲，交由另一位唱片作人行。果，首歌只拿到了第29名，作The Temptations唱片作人的位子然是了。更刺和情何以堪的是，首歌最後在1970於到了排行榜的第4名，而是由Rare Earth的翻唱版本所拿下。
Motown 唱片公司了促旗下的白人人和，特意成立了另一家唱片公司Rare Earth Record，而Rare Earth全白人就是刻意取和公司相同的名字。之後，常有在酒吧及俱部演唱，然也常唱公司的首歌---《Get Ready》。有趣的了，始是有人在歌中加了一段自己的奏表演，一看的反不，每人都要求上一段，果首歌的就被搞成了21分。
Rare Earth希望首《Get Ready》作他第一首行的曲，而公司意的是另外一首，在 Rare Earth 的持之下公司退，但之剪3分度的曲行。想到推出之後造成，再行同名，完整的21分版放在的其中一整面。
21分的在是久了一，我是3分的就好了。
