How amazing will be a story
telling us about a widower live with a kid who regards himself as a martian child ?
I recommend this movie "Martian Child"..100% good.
First..
The most attracting part is the meaningful and humourous dialogues
For example
When David(the father) doubt himself qualified or not
before determining himself to adopt a child,
his best friend, Harlee, encouraged him as that...
"Let me tell you something..my mother raised five kids,and never,for one second
did she question whether she was cut out to be a parent"
"And she was great,right?"
"No,the worst ,Her shrink has a house in Laguna because of her"
You see..they really got a sense of humor..
That’s the most interesting part to me..to enjoy their dialogues..
The second part we should not miss is the lovely boy in this film...
Dennis.
It is really fun to see Dennis dancing martian steps and David go with him..
They do have fun..
after that..
Dennis says.."Nice to talk with you"
I think ...this is one of the key metaphor of this story..
Communication...
While they go for a ride because of the dead of their dog.
They talked about death under the sky full of stars..
"If you love somebody ,it’s really hard if you can’t see’em anymore."
"Do you talk to Mary ?"(Mary, David’s wife dead already)
"In a way I do ,yeah,all the time that’s probably why I come out here."
The other key metaphor is talking about
how to being a human..
That’s all kids need to learn..
learning from their parents and schoolmates...
"A little Mars choose you to teach him about being human."
"Sometimes we forget that children have just arrived on the earth...
..they are just trying to learn what it means to be a human.."
How father’s love earn a trust from the kid
who was abandoned ,
can not fit this society ,
just live himself in his imagined world
and always feeling floating away because he do think himself living in a world
things and people do disappear....
How vulnerable the boy is and you will see how great the love the father has..
I wish I could get my Martian wish earning a trust because of my love...
Just like the father said to the boy.."Be yourself.."
I wish my love can support whom I really loved just be themselves
and never be criticized like that..
"Why can’t you just be what we want you to be ?"
May God bless us to be what we want us to be ..yeah..if we know the answer..
Thanks God letting me realize the answer and helping me walk on this way
the most important is...
He will never ever ever...ever ever leave us..
