No1. Founding Engineer (Full Stack)

About the role

In this role, you will work closely with the founder to help drive the direction of the product and build scalable and robust technology solutions to help improve the way people manage work stress during off-job hours through science-backed methods.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the founder and the product team to define and prioritize features on our product roadmap.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements, are scalable, and are easy to maintain.
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle from ideation to deployment, with a focus on front-end and back-end development.
• Build and maintain technical documentation for the codebase, ensuring clarity and completeness.
• Continuously monitor and improve the performance, reliability, and security of the platform.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure we are using the most effective tools and techniques.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to other engineers as we grow our engineering team.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer working on web applications.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js, with experience working on both front-end and back-end technologies.
• Experience with relational databases and an understanding of data modeling principles.
• Strong knowledge of software development principles, including design patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with React, Redux, and/or Next.js.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience building and managing engineering teams is a plus.

No2. Founding Product Designer

What we are looking for:

• You believe in craftsmanship and create elegant and compelling designs, over and over. Your portfolio has some best-in-class work.

• You have designed at least one mobile application from scratch and you're a walking encyclopedia of micro-interactions in use across different mobile applications and have nuanced views on how to make many of them even better.

• You've proven experience of 4.5+ years of experience in the industry.

• You are a creative leader. You have the ability to cultivate a shared understanding

  of the user-centred approach between the Design, Content, Product, and

  Engineering team.

• You've shipped products. You've weathered release cycles and know what details

  matter at each stage, how to engage with engineers to get the fit and finish right, how to translate insights from user studies into meaningful action, and what's most likely to go afoul at each stage.

• You substantially contribute to defining the 'what' as well as the 'how'. You're a product manager's secret weapon.

• You thrive best when helping to define the requirements, not just translating them into designs. You facilitate and draw the best design ideas from teammates.

• Prototyping is a key part of your toolset. You've prototyped on multiple platforms. You've made last-minute tweaks between user studies. You know how to be all kinds of quick and dirty, but dream of better prototyping tools.

• Communication skills. You've good communication skills and can effectively communicate your ideas to the stakeholders.
