Applied Researcher 2(IE)
We are the Observability Team at eBay and part of Infrastructure engineering organization. Daily, new data sources and signals come in and we are looking for intelligent people who can dive into that data, make sense of it and use it to solve large-scale problems all around monitoring and infrastructure
What you will do
Analyze the problem through all data available to you including different type of metrics, events ,traces and logs.
Applying statistical and machine learning techniques to address various problems include anomaly detection, metrics correlation and casual inferencing
Drive innovation leveraging Data Science and Machine Learning, to experiment with and establish new ways for infrastructure management
Required Qualifications
Master degree in Computer Science/Mathematics/Statistics
Deep understanding of statistics hypothesis testing, p-values, confidence intervals, regression, classification, and optimization are core lingo
Experience with general purpose programming language (C/C++/Python
Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. preferred
Experience in Time series Anomaly detection, Graph Theory, Combinatorial optimization
Strong machine learning / computer vision / natural language processing experience and results in academy or industry. Publications in TOP conferences. Examples: ICML, NIPS, AAAI, IJCAI, ACL, CVPR, KDD
