Responsibilities:
Design and develop highly automated stress test workloads in popular programming languages, such as Java, Perl, Python, Shell, and PL/SQL etc.
Execute test suites to discover performance and stability problems in the products
Collaborate with development teams to resolve the problems encountered in the tests
Develop automation tools for system testing
Qualification:
BS/MS in CS from top school or equivalent, 3 years of software engineering or related experience
Knowledge of Oracle database administration and PLSQL is a must
Familiarity with Unix/Linux platforms
Self motivated with strong ability to learn quickly and work independently
System performance analysis skill and experience is a big plus
Experience with Oracle Exadata is a big plus
Workable verbal and written communication skills
Introduction to System Testing S.H.A.R.P Group:
System Testing S.H.A.R.P Group within the Oracle database server division is a highly respected, sought after group with a long track record of success. The group focuses on improving stability, high availability, reliability and performance (S.H.A.R.P) of complete Oracle product stack including Oracle Solaris, Enterprise Linux, Database, Oracle Fusion Middlewares and Fusion Applications in enterprise computing environment using high-end computing resources, e.g., Oracle SuperCluster, Exadata and Exalogic.
The team is responsible to develop and carry out stress/integration/system/performance testing of enterprise applications, simulating real world scenarios, and provides best practices recommendations to customers. Over the years we've attracted a lot of extremely talented software professionals, many of whom enjoyed great success within and beyond Oracle.
The team has this open position to work for Oracle Fusion Applications/MiddleWare/Database and deliver everything customers need to acquire, organize, analyze and maximize the value of their enterprise products. The position can be viewed as a combination (but not limited to) of system/database administrator, performance expert and solution designer/architect.
