我之前也在想这个，当时尝试过的选择是在自己的 VPS 上搞个 rclone，把 google photos mount 到 VPS 上然后搞一个 NextCloud （这样家人可以用手机客户端看照片）

问题：
1. mount 的话速度比较有问题，每次看照片要 load 很久，也许直接 sync 下来比较好。
2. 如果 VPS 在国内的话（离家人比较近），需要备案而且 VPS 需要科学，不然连不上 google photos
