During the intake stroke, the piston moves downward while the intake valve opens, preparing the mixture for compression in the next stage.
在进气冲程中，活塞向下运动，同时进气门打开，为下一阶段的压缩做好准备。
intake 由 *in-*（“向内”）+ take（“取、拿”）构成，字面义是“吸入、纳入”；在机械语境中常指“进气/进料”。stroke 原义为“一次击打/一笔划”，在工程与机械中引申为“行程、冲程”（一次往复运动）。合起来 intake stroke 即“吸入（进气）的那一冲程”。
